Under the LEED 2009 for Neighborhood Development standard, five credits can
be obtained for protecting, restoring and managing
wildlfe habtiat. We provide these credits through one of
the many organizations within the Canadian Land Trust Alliance
(CLTA) across Canada.
These LEED for Neighborhood
Development Smart Location and Linkage SLL credits usually require an
individually tailored contract to address the specifics of the site involved in
the project. The closest land trust to the project will supply the
credit. The cost of these credits will vary depending upon the nature and
the amount of work involved.
Land In Trust is a
program that provides a simple, standardized process for LEED projects to
acquire credits from CLTA member land trusts. Due to
the nature of LEED Neighborhood Development credits, they can currently only be
provided in Canada.
